Funded by the BBSRC via a Strategic LoLa grant, we are conducting mass spectrometry driven analyses of the Drosophila proteome, integrated with bioinformatics and computational analyses to consider aspects of the interactome, alternate splicing and subcellular location of the proteins. This is to be coupled to advanced function prediction techniques, all targeted at a deeper understanding of this model eukaryotic system and its dynamic protein complement during development.
